A true Boston native, Manny Delcarmen was the first Red Sox draftee from a Boston high school in over 30 years. Nicknamed 'The Pride of Hyde Park', Delcarmen began his Red Sox career with 10 games in 2005. As a relief pitcher, Delcarmen is noted for his curveballs and his fastballs, which reach speeds in the high 90's.
