Discovered by the Florida Marlins in 2000, Josh Beckett was traded to the Red Sox in 2006 and quickly became the first Red Sox pitcher to hit a home run in 35 years. He ended his 2006 Red Sox season with a 5.01 ERA and a record of 16-11. Beckett was the ALCS Most Valuable Player in 2007, an American League All Star temmate in 2007, and part of both World Series Championship Red Sox teams in 2003 and 2007. To date, his career stats include a win-loss of 94-64, an ERA of 3.87 and 1172 strikeouts.
