Perhaps one of the most famous members of the Boston Red Sox, Ted Williams' career spanned 21 seasons and he is still considered one of the best hitters in the entire history of American baseball. To date, Williams holds the highest career batting average. He was twice voted Most Valuable Player by the American League, and won the Triple Crown twice in his career as well.
