Doug Mirabelli

A member of the 2001 - 2005 Red Sox roster, Doug Mirabelli was brought in to fill the temporary vacany left by Jason Vartiek's broken elbow. After a successful rest of the 2001 season, Mirabelli became the designated catcher for pitchers Darren Oliver and Frank Castillo, before being assigned to Tim Wakefield.
